Be a selective listener. Download 10 of your favourite albums; pick your two or three favourite podcasts to subscribe to. Then stop scrolling or streaming and go straight to your trusted sources.
Ask for recommendations. I used to be the sort of person who would pore over product reviews, comparing every single feature before I’d commit to buying a new camera, phone or other piece of tech. Now I just ask a trusted friend or family member and buy what they have. This works for anything – holiday destinations, books, services. If you trust your friends, save yourself time and trust their choices!
Build silence into your day:
- turn off the radio while driving
take a walk, no headphones, during lunch OR schedule 15 minute stretch dedicated for silence in your calendar
eat without distraction (phone, tv, etc.)
Use the shower!
Morning coffee or tea in silence
Turn off the podcast
