Be a selective listener. Download 10 of your favourite albums; pick your two or three favourite podcasts to subscribe to. Then stop scrolling or streaming and go straight to your trusted sources. 
Ask for recommendations. I used to be the sort of person who would pore over product reviews, comparing every single feature before I’d commit to buying a new camera, phone or other piece of tech. Now I just ask a trusted friend or family member and buy what they have. This works for anything – holiday destinations, books, services. If you trust your friends, save yourself time and trust their choices!

Build silence into your day:

- turn off the radio while driving

  • take a walk, no headphones, during lunch OR schedule 15 minute stretch dedicated for silence in your calendar

  • eat without distraction (phone, tv, etc.)

  • Use the shower!

  • Morning coffee or tea in silence

  • Turn off the podcast
