Working on a novel, essay, poem, or other piece of writing you want to share with the world? This casual workshop is a space for sharing feedback and encouragement.

Prior to session:

• Decide what you’re bringing in (1200 word max)

• Sign up [here] by 12pm day-of

  • I’ll send a follow-up confirming your place and the total number of attendees

• Print your piece - enough for each attendee to have his/her own copy

In Session:

• Each writer reads his/her piece aloud

• Attendees make notes on their printed pages

• Take 5-10 minutes to discuss and share feedback

Structured like many creative writing workshops, positive feedback and gentle suggestions encouraged. Writers can define what specifically they want readers to pay attention to/comment on, but know this is not a proofreading session. Comments should be honed toward plot, character development, tone, etc. Minor and grammatical notes can be provided on printed pages, which will be handed back to the writer after the discussion.
